Acura and Lexus Lineups Compared
V

Acura keeps its 2026 range focused, and each model has a defined job. The Integra is a 200-horsepower premium sport compact liftback, the ADX is a 190-horsepower compact SUV with front- or all-wheel drive, the RDX pairs a 272-horsepower 2.0L VTEC Turbo with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, and the MDX brings three rows and a 290-horsepower V6.

Lexus spreads its 10 models across eight SUVs and two sedans, eight of them offered with hybrid or electric power. The natural cross-shops: the ADX against the 2026 Lexus UX 300h hybrid, rated at 196 net combined horsepower; the RDX against the 2026 NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+ plug-in; and the MDX against the 2026 RX and TX.

Type S vs F SPORT Performance
V

Acura saves the Type S badge for models that, by its own rule, go faster, stop quicker and turn harder. The 2026 Integra Type S sends 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft from a 2.0L VTEC Turbo through a close-ratio 6-speed manual and a helical limited-slip differential, while the MDX Type S Advance runs a 355-horsepower 3.0L turbo V6 on Adaptive Air Suspension. Both carry Brembo front calipers.

Lexus treats performance as F SPORT grades in three tiers: F SPORT Design on models such as the IS, RX and UX, F SPORT Handling on models including the RX 350, TX 350, LX 600 and UX, and F SPORT Performance on the RX 500h and TX 500h, each rated at 366 net horsepower.

  • Integra Type S: 320 hp, 6-speed manual, helical limited-slip differential
  • MDX Type S Advance: 355-hp 3.0L turbo V6, Adaptive Air Suspension
